Tina Black has earned the final place in The Ultimate Fighter 34 strawweight championship bout. Black defeated Delphine Benouaich by decision in their semifinal and will meet Melissa Amaya at UFC Vegas 121 on Sept. 26. The winner is set to receive a six-figure UFC contract.

The semifinal carried an awkward personal layer because Black and Benouaich had become friends while living and training together on Team Daniel Cormier. They had shared the ordinary moments of the show, including a birthday surprise organized for Black, before the bracket forced them to compete. Once the cage door closed, however, only one of them could advance.
