Salahdine Parnasse is not naming Usman Nurmagomedov as his next opponent, although he does not rule out a meeting with the free agent. Parnasse’s response was brief but direct: “I think it’s a possibility for sure, we’ll see.” It acknowledges that such a fight could happen without elevating the possibility into a commitment. His later comments were even more focused on the present. “As of right now, this moment, I don’t have any names in my mind,” Parnasse told MMA Fighting. “So we’ll have to see when I win on Saturday.” The important distinction is that Parnasse has spoken about a possible matchup, while his only named upcoming opponent is Hooker.
