Sadykhov-Nascimento Set for UFC 334

The UFC 334 card at Madison Square Garden has its first reported matchup. Nazim Sadykhov is set to face Jefferson Nascimento on Nov. 14 in New York, giving the annual MSG event an early lightweight booking. No main event or wider lineup has been announced, but this fight provides the first concrete piece of the card.

Both men arrive with something to repair. Sadykhov has dropped two consecutive fights after building a reputation for action and bonuses. Nascimento lost his UFC debut after entering the promotion as an 11-0 former LFA champion. Their meeting is not being presented as a title eliminator; it is a chance for two lightweights at different stages of their UFC careers to regain momentum on a major stage.

Sadykhov returns after a difficult stretch

Sadykhov has collected three Fight of the Night bonuses in six UFC appearances, a record that explains why his name stands out on an early card announcement. He also earned a Performance of the Night award for knocking out Nikolas Motta at UFC Baku in June 2025. That remains his most recent victory.

Since the Motta finish, Sadykhov has suffered knockout losses to Fares Ziam and Matheus Camilo. The setbacks have changed the stakes around his return. He is still known as an entertaining fighter, but the immediate priority at Madison Square Garden is ending the skid and showing that his aggressive style can produce a controlled result.

Competing in New York also carries a natural connection for Sadykhov, who announced the matchup through social media. The arena and date give his comeback a prominent setting, yet the assignment itself is demanding. Nascimento has far less UFC experience, but his record before the promotion shows that he is not simply being brought in as an easy opponent.

Nascimento gets a second UFC opportunity

Nascimento enters at 11-1 after his first Octagon appearance ended in a third-round TKO loss in June. Before signing with the UFC, the Brazilian won the LFA lightweight championship and successfully defended it. Those accomplishments helped earn his place on the roster and remain relevant after one defeat.

His debut contained an unusual controversy, with reports saying Nascimento appeared to be bitten by his opponent before the stoppage. Whatever effect that moment had, the official result remains a loss. UFC 334 gives him a cleaner opportunity to demonstrate how his regional success translates against a fighter with six UFC bouts and repeated bonus-winning performances.

The experience gap creates the clearest contrast in the matchup. Sadykhov has already seen several types of UFC pressure and knows how quickly an action-heavy fight can turn. Nascimento has championship experience outside the organization but only one UFC appearance. Both need a victory, though for different reasons.
