Arman Tsarukyan delivered the finish he said he needed at UFC 331, knocking out Mauricio Ruffy in the closing seconds of the first round of their co-main event in Los Angeles. The stoppage came at 4:56 of Round 1, with Tsarukyan landing a left elbow from the clinch and following with a right elbow as Ruffy fell toward the canvas. Referee Jason Herzog waved off the bout, ending a contest in which Tsarukyan had first navigated a difficult early exchange.
